Probiotics Could Lower Help Lower Blood Pressure
Kefir is a cultured dairy product that is rich in nutrients as well as probiotics, which are shown to improve your gut health.

There has been a lot of talk lately about gut health and its benefits or detriments to your overall health. A way to help improve your overall gut health is by drinking Kefir. Kefir is a drinkable yogurt-like drink that's nutrient rich and filled with probiotics, creating a balance of bacteria in your gut, and according to this study it could help lower your blood pressure.

Previous studies have shown a link between poor gut bacteria and high blood pressure (HBP), if that is the case than drinking Kefir could help, although it isn't completely clear as to how. A research team studied three groups of rats to determine how Kefir reduces blood pressure, and after nine weeks they discovered changes in how the intestines allow good substances through and block harmful substances. It restored the natural balance of 4 different bacteria strains and an enzyme responsible for normal nervous system function, this suggests that the gut bacteria works in conjunction with the nervous system to reduce the overall blood pressure.
